§6. Event & House Rules
- In the event of HanaCon being cancelled, you are entitled to a refund of the ticket price. Travel and accommodation costs will not be refunded in the event of cancellation.
- The event area (the convention site) comprises the Wienecke XI. Congress Centrum Hannover, its forecourt and car park. Any public car parks are not part of the event site. HanaCon e. V. is not authorised to deploy stewards on public land. However, we endeavour to ensure the safety of HanaCon visitors within the limits of our legal capabilities.
- The organiser, HanaCon e. V., has the right to issue instructions on the premises. To ensure that everything runs smoothly, the HanaCon organising team is supported by the HanaCon crew. The instructions of the crew must also be followed. In addition, the rules of conduct for visiting HanaCon (cosplay and house rules) displayed at the venue apply. These can be viewed on the website or via notices in the information area.
Employees of Wienecke XI have the right to enforce house rules. - By entering the event, the visitor irrevocably agrees that the organiser and accredited press representatives may take video and photographic recordings of the visitor as a participant at HanaCon for information, documentation and promotional purposes, and may reproduce and publish these in print and audiovisual media. This consent is given without remuneration and is unlimited in time and space. The provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act and the GDPR shall be observed. All rights may also be transferred to third parties for the aforementioned purposes.
- Upon entering the convention venue, a security check may be carried out by the security staff / convention volunteers on site (e.g. bag checks).
- Dangerous items (e.g. glass bottles) may be confiscated. A detailed list of prohibited items can be viewed on the website. Visitors hereby agree to this.
- The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to the convention site to visitors who violate the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, the house rules and the cosplay regulations, or to expel them from the convention site at a later stage. In such cases, the admission fee will not be refunded. If a visitor commits or attempts to commit a criminal offence on the convention grounds, they will be removed from the grounds without prior notice and the matter will be reported to the police.
- The organiser is entitled, for safety reasons, to temporarily or completely clear and close convention areas without any entitlement to a partial refund of the ticket price. The relevant instructions of the organiser or persons appointed by them must be followed.
- There is a maximum capacity for the convention areas; once this is reached, further visitors must be refused entry. There is no entitlement to a partial refund of the ticket price.
- Problems may arise even a few minutes before the start of a programme item. The postponement or cancellation of programme items is not grounds for a refund of the ticket price.
