Hanover Game Development Meetup

The Hanover Game Development Meetup group is celebrating a first at this year’s HanaCon:

For the very first time, we’re showcasing eight indie games from developers in Hanover and the surrounding area!

Come along and playtest games from all sorts of genres – from strategy games to visual novels to bullet-hell pixel RPGs and roulette roguelikes, there’s something for everyone! You’ll even be able to chat directly with the developers.

Diligent playtesters who have tried out at least two demos will be rewarded with goodies and an exclusive energy drink!

Aztec Empire is a historical city-building simulation for PC. Build magnificent cities, experience the history of the Aztecs and make offerings to the gods. The city mechanics are inspired by old classics of the genre such as Caesar or Pharaoh.

Recommended age: 12+ (there are human sacrifices, but they are depicted in a very abstract manner)

Rocky Island is in danger, and it’s up to you to defend the island with your tower-building skills! Unlock new biomes with your newly collected towers, meet other stranded dinosaurs and help them, and gear up with your friends for an unforgettable tower defence adventure. Upgrade your towers in the overworld using crafting, alchemy and a dash of adventure and imagination. Every hidden chest you open and every puzzle you solve brings you and your friends closer to uncovering the dark secret hidden deep beneath the island.
