Live at HanaCon on 16 May 2026

Maki Oyama, one of the most distinctive voices on the Japanese rock and metal scene, will be taking to our stage. As a guest vocalist on albums and at live shows, she has worked with acts including ALDIOUS and FATE GEAR, and has become an integral part of the J-rock and metal scene.

Her career began with an official tie-up song for the women’s handball team OSAKA LOVVITS. She also sang the Japanese national anthem at international handball championships – a moment guaranteed to give you goosebumps.

Numerous album releases, as well as appearances on radio, TV and other media, have made her a fixture on the scene. And now she’s bringing all that energy straight to us here in Hanover!

RISKY MELODY is one of Japan’s best-known all-female hard rock and metal bands – and yes: they’re coming straight to us here in Hanover!

Their sound is uncompromising and electrifying: heavy, aggressive riffs, catchy melodies and the powerful vocals of frontwoman ALICE, which are guaranteed to blow you away.

The band is notorious for their extremely intense live presence and plays more concerts a year in Japan than almost any other all-female rock band. Their 2015 and 2016 tours of Japan were completely sold out – and for good reason.

And now the absolute highlight:
This tour marks RISKY MELODY’s EUROPEAN DEBUT!

Once again this year, a special highlight awaits you at HanaCon: a thrilling Vocaloid live show packed with music, energy and stunning visuals.

For the first time, you can enjoy the show on both days of the event.

The show is organised by Vocafest UK & Ireland, a dedicated, unofficial VOCALOID event group from the UK.

Since 2020, the group has been bringing fans together through special concert experiences – both online and live at conventions. Their first major live event took place in London in 2022.

Since then, Vocafest UK & Ireland has been a regular presence at events, thrilling audiences with their passion for VOCALOID music.

We are delighted to welcome NILO back to HanaCon.

The Japanese artist began her musical career as a bossa nova singer and has expanded her repertoire in recent years to include Japanese city pop and anime songs. She combines her own original compositions with selected cover songs, creating a unique musical blend.

NILO’s style combines the warm, gentle sounds of bossa nova with the catchy melodies of city pop. Her music moves between nostalgic elements and modern influences and is characterised by a clear artistic identity.

NILO will be appearing several times at HanaCon 2026:

• Saturday: Concert on the main stage
• Sunday: Exclusive performance at the Maid Café
• She will also have her own stand at the convention on both days.

Junihuhn is back at HanaCon!

We are delighted to welcome Junihuhn back to HanaCon this year!

This time, it’s all about a special voice that isn’t actually ‘real’, yet still carries the emotions of countless musicians and fans worldwide: the legendary diva with the turquoise twin-tails, Hatsune Miku from Vocaloid. Over the years, she has sung countless songs across all manner of genres and is currently enjoying an impressive renaissance.

Junihuhn is celebrating her comeback at HanaCon with a piano performance featuring classics such as ‘World Is Mine’ and new tracks like ‘Monitoring’, specially arranged for the piano. Fans of Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku are in for a treat: almost all the songs on the setlist are also featured in the game.

Junihuhn will perform on the main stage on Saturday and will also give an exclusive mini-concert in the Maid Café. The exact times will be announced shortly.

Who hasn’t imagined, at some point, possessing supernatural powers or living in another world? Inspired by precisely these thoughts, Khio presents her new programme, “Supernatural”, at HanaCon.

In her performance, Khio explores characters with special abilities and mysterious, magical objects capable of transforming entire worlds. She combines familiar fantasies with her own artistic interpretation, inviting the audience to immerse themselves in these fascinating possibilities.

Look forward to an atmospheric performance that blurs the boundaries between reality and fantasy and brings the longing for the supernatural to the stage.

With ‘Into the Fog’, Horrorkissen & Eveleanah – performing as Last Lullaby – present an atmospheric show that uniquely blends music, emotion and stage presence.

Look forward to a varied performance full of charm, wit and expressive vocals, in which the two blend their voices to create a unique sonic experience. With their own lyrics and original songs, they take you on a musical journey through different moods – from soulful and dreamy to powerful and rousing.

“Into the Fog” stands for intense moments that get under your skin, creating a dense, almost magical atmosphere on stage. A show that is not just meant to be heard, but to be experienced.

With triple s, we welcome a well-established trio to our stage: Sasi, Saku and Shisu.

Once again this year, the three singers will present a varied mix of J-pop and K-pop covers, inviting the audience to sit back and enjoy the music.

They have been part of the YouTaite community for over ten years and have also made a name for themselves as a group at German conventions since 2023. With plenty of experience, harmony and passion, they create a special atmosphere that invites you to linger and listen.

Look forward to a musical highlight that invites you to switch off and let your imagination run wild.

MoR – Miracle of Revenge is a K-pop show group from Bremen and part of TV Bremen-Walle 1875. The members have been performing together on stage since 2015, captivating audiences with their expressive choreography, team spirit and great passion for K-pop.

With a total of 12 members, they will be presenting a new setlist spanning the K-Pop genre at HanaCon. From high-energy performances to more emotional songs, there is something for everyone.

Michin Impact is a five-piece K-pop dance cover and performance group from Braunschweig that has been active since 2017.

With performances spanning the 2nd to the 5th generations of K-pop, they bring a varied and high-energy show to the stage, offering something for everyone.

The audience can look forward to a dynamic mix of different styles, impressive choreography and plenty of stage energy.

IMPRESS is a dance group whose members have found their way to K-pop, J-pop and dance through different paths – united by passion, creativity and the joy of constantly pushing themselves to new limits through dance.

For the group, dance is a form of expression, a challenge and a source of inspiration all at once. Through their performances, they aim to captivate the audience, convey emotions and create special moments on stage.
