In this talk, jacksreality, author of the book “Liebe in der zweiten Dimension” (“Love in the Second Dimension”), explores the role fictional characters play in our thinking and in our society.

He combines different theoretical approaches into an overall picture of the existence of fictional characters and their influence on fans and media culture. Topics such as imagination, consciousness and belief are covered, as well as terms from philosophy and cognitive science – including the concept of “alief”.
