Shodō – Japanese Calligraphy for Beginners

We were able to organize an additional workshop for you at short notice: Together with Amuri (@morgenlichtchen), you’ll receive an introduction to the art of Japanese calligraphy (Shodō).

The workshop will cover the basics of the origins of Japanese characters. You’ll also learn about the traditional tools—the so-called “four treasures of the scholar’s study”—and practice your first brushstrokes with ink. Finally, you’ll have the opportunity to write your own kanji on rice paper and take your personal work of art home with you.
